Neath Port Talbot Council has become the first local authority in the UK to transition its recycling fleet to fully electric vehicles.
The vehicles are partly powered by solar panels and will replace the existing fleet of diesel recycling vehicles.
The first 10 vehicles of the 21-vehicle fleet are expected to be delivered to North Port Talbot Council later this summer, with more arriving throughout the year.
The transition to fully electric vehicles marks a further commitment to the council’s climate change responsibilities.
