At Hillend Engineering we have committed to a further £4M investment in our Dunfermline operation, maximising the build quality of refuse collection bodies, and delivering ultimate efficiency for our waste management customers.
Investment throughout 2025 will focus on updating our buildings and manufacturing infrastructure with the latest technologies across the end-to-end operation. Our new, state-of-the-art paint shop will provide the most modern shot blasting painting methods, along with water-based paints, ensuring the best quality paint finishes for customers, whilst reducing environmental impact.
We’re delighted with the market reaction to our latest products across trade and household waste collection, from BIG BITE JUNIOR, POWERTRAK, POWERLINK and CITYTRAK, to the 2025 edition of our MICRO XHD specialist food waste product.
The updated MICRO XHD has a faster bin lift with proportional hydraulics, and the option of a food waste trough. Ergonomically designed controls and the option of a wander lead keep the operator safely out of traffic flow. MICRO XHD is available in either 6m3 capacity and 3T payload, or 8m3 capacity and 5.5T payload and is impressively manoeuvrable for busy UK streets.
Our specialist bodies are designed and built for maximum collection efficiency, and the body and hydraulics can be combined with an electric chassis for ultimate fleet decarbonisation.
With 50-years of invaluable industry experience, and a rejuvenating manufacturing investment, we’re confident that our products will increase efficiency for customers. We are excited to showcase our latest product range and discuss operational transformation plans.
