Fife Council has completed an 85-home affordable housing development on the site of the former Blacklaw Primary School in Dunfermline, providing new housing while supporting affordable warmth and lower energy costs for residents.
Delivered as part of Fife Council's Affordable Housing Programme, the Blacklaw Road development includes a mix of family housing, amenity properties and wheelchair-accessible homes.
The energy efficiency of the new homes was highlighted by Fife Council Housing Spokesperson Councillor Judy Hamilton, who said the development would provide tenants with "warm, energy-efficient properties that are more affordable to run". The homes have been built to high energy-efficiency standards and include solar panels to help reduce household energy bills.
