The programme will be delivered across the 2026/27 financial year, and improvements will include the installation of solar panels, energy-efficient LED lighting and loft insulation.
Once complete, more than 400 council homes in Goole will be equipped with solar panels, representing almost a third of council-owned properties in the area.
The solar panels will enable tenants to generate renewable electricity at home, helping to reduce reliance on grid electricity. Surplus power generated by the systems can also be sold back to the grid.
Councillor Michael Lee, Cabinet Member for Housing and Infrastructure, said: "We're proud to invest in our council housing stock, to create warmer and more energy-efficient homes that help both tenants and the environment."
