Who we are
What we do

Finders International

Finders International trace heirs to estates, property and assets worldwide. We were established by Managing Director Daniel Curran in 1997. Nowadays we are more commonly known as 'Heir Hunters' following our high profile appearances on BBC1’s popular daytime show ‘Heir Hunters’. Numerous features in the press and on radio and TV have set Finders International apart from other firms.

Contact us on UK freephone 0800 085 8796, or visit www.findersinternational.co.uk  or www.findersinternational.ie for our Irish Office.

Aside from our HQ in London, we also have offices in Edinburgh and Dublin and a tried and trusted worldwide network covering over 50 countries.

We are founder members of the regulatory body IAPPR (the International Association of Professional Probate Researchers, Genealogists and Heir Hunters), which represents 11 probate research firms with over 250 staff and more than 1,000 years cumulative experience.

We are best known for our work with the legal profession, but nowadays we work with anyone who requires help or assistance in tracing missing or unknown heirs, or the next of kin to a deceased person. We are highly skilled full-time professionals with an excellent reputation and credentials to match and work to a Professional Conduct Code.

We also offer a range of International Asset Services, including Medallion Signature Guarantees and Overseas Bankruptcy searches.

All advice and quotations are free of charge or obligation.

We are also the first global probate research team to become NALP accredited. NALP is the National Association of Licenced Paralegals, is a non-profit membership body and the only Paralegal body that is recognised as an awarding organisation by Ofqual (the regulator of qualifications in England).

For three years running, we have been awarded ‘Best UK Probate Research Firm’ for 2019, 2020 and 2021 at the UK Probate Research Awards, and won the same award at the 2020 ‘British Wills and Probate Awards’.
