The most recent State of Nature report, published in 2019, suggests there has been a 13% decline in the average abundance of wildlife in the UK since the 1970's. This is despite legislation and policy to protect biodiversity and wildlife.
Under the Environment Act 2021, all planning permissions granted (with a few exceptions) will have to deliver at least 10% biodiversity net gain from an as yet unconfirmed date, expected to be in November 2023.
APSE Training is delighted to be able to provide the latest in our portfolio of courses; Preparing for Biodiversity Net Gain. This training has been specifically designed to prepare parks and greenspaces colleagues for the introduction of this legislation later this year. Through a variety of interactive activities, learners will have the opportunity to gather information and discuss strategies for practical application.

This course will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams. To access it, you will need a WiFi connection or mobile data hotspot. This highly interactive training includes a mixture of presentations, video conferencing, group work, games, quizzes and video.
