Nathan’s Wastesavers, founded in 1903, is one of the UK’s largest and most established textile recycling companies. With over a century of experience in the industry, the company has developed a strong reputation for responsible recycling, sustainable practices, and high-quality textile processing. Our operations are built on the commitment to reduce waste, extend the life cycle of clothing and textiles, and support communities both in the United Kingdom and internationally.
Each week, more than 300 skilled employees work across our facilities to carefully sort, grade, and process over 600 tonnes of textile materials. These materials include clothing, shoes, household textiles, and other reusable items that might otherwise end up in landfill. Through a detailed sorting process, items are assessed for reuse, resale, recycling, or repurposing, ensuring that as much material as possible is recovered and given a second life.
Nathan’s Wastesavers is committed to creating and protecting jobs in the UK while also contributing to economic opportunities abroad. By exporting quality reuse textiles to markets in Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe, we help support local economies, small businesses, and affordable clothing supply chains in developing regions.
We work closely with national and local charity organisations, local authorities, and waste management companies across the UK to collect, manage, and responsibly process textile donations and surplus materials. These partnerships help divert significant volumes of textile waste from landfill while generating valuable funds for charitable causes.
Our mission is to promote sustainable textile management, support global reuse networks, and play a leading role in building a more circular and environmentally responsible textile industry.
