Lizzie Walker – a professional ecologist, with an in-depth knowledge of development planning, environmental legislation, policy and guidelines in England and Scotland, having worked as a consultant and LPA ecologist. She is able to support local authorities with Biodiversity Net Gain feasibility and design stage assessments, including digital mapping and reporting using statutory Defra tools in order to meet LPA validation requirements. Post-approval BNG monitoring, management plans; planning, co-ordination and execution of surveys and assessments for planning applications and woodland creation planning; grant applications, including managing teams of freelancers and associates to deliver client projects as well as; protected species surveys, habitat surveys using UK Hab and Phase 1, and detailed National Vegetation Classification surveys for woodland creation.
Steve Cirell – a highly experienced APSE Energy associate having worked on many consultancy projects over 15 years currently focussing on BNG projects and able to help with the context, strategy, legislation and general approach to local authorities taking BNG projects forward.
