APSE Energy’s ‘Terrific Tuesday Tutorials’
As you know APSE Energy run a series of webinars covering a range of topics. They normally involve 1 or 2 speakers focussing on a specific issue or case study and providing detail of context, practicalities and outcomes. Thee are a great way to learn what others are doing and help to share the learning. We have more of these planned for the future.
At the Energy Summit, there were a number of people who stayed back after the workshops asking specific questions of the speakers related to their own circumstances and buildings back at their councils. So we wondered how we could address these people and provide time to interact with them.
Our solution is ‘Terrific Tuesday Tutorials’!
According to Wikipedia, a tutorial is “a form of teaching that provides practical information and examples to complete a specific task” and is “more interactive and specific than a book or a lecture”. And that is exactly what we will be doing.
The format for the tutorials will be a short introduction to a topic,10 minutes, followed by the opportunity for questions, comments and discussion related to how this topic impacts specific services, buildings and circumstances at individual councils.
The second ‘Terrific Tuesday Tutorial’ will be on Tuesday 24th June at 10am and will concentrate on decarbonising heritage buildings. These are especially hard to work on due to issues around allowed materials, aesthetics, alterations to external walls and roofs and the permissions required, all of which limit options.
There will be a short presentation followed by the chance to ask specific questions of our speakers about particular buildings and options related to council properties.
Booking a question
If you have a question related to this topic you can register your question beforehand and we will ask you to explain it during the tutorial. You can submit your question as part of the booking form or send an email to [email protected] .
