St Mary’s Guildhall, Coventry
Join APSE for a seminar in the historic heart of Coventry, designed for Central Region councils committed to driving sustainability and environmental leadership.
Over six years since local authorities first declared Climate Emergency motions and their net zero targets, we track their progress and share best practice from the trailblazers across our region while providing an interactive opportunity to come together to discuss the opportunities and challenges ahead in the journey to net zero, from budgetary pressures to political changes.
As the leading local authority network for frontline services, this is also a chance to look at how statutory services from waste and recycling, to energy and transport, are vital for councils in reaching net zero while taking communities and colleagues alike with them on the journey, and how to avoid ‘carbon tunnel vision’.
This event will also incorporate the APSE Central Annual General Meeting. Your free booking includes lunch and refreshments at the venue.
Join us for this opportunity to come together and network with colleagues across the region and learn about how we can move forward together on the journey to net zero.
