Tuesday 12 May 2026, 10.00-11.15
Tuesday 19 May 2026, 14.00-15.15
This webinar will be delivered twice on different dates, featuring the same content, to provide flexibility for attendees.
The session provides a high‑level overview of the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 (Martyn’s Law), following Royal Assent on 3 April 2025. With an expected implementation period of at least 24 months, the session will help premises and event operators understand what the Act means for them. Whilst there is no legal requirement to comply with the legislation until it comes into force, those that fall into scope may wish to begin considering what they need to do before commencement.
The webinar will feature a presentation from the Policy Lead for Martyn’s Law at the Home Office, covering who is in scope, the Government’s approach to compliance, and the role of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) as the future regulator, followed by a Q&A.
