It was not so long ago that major utilities sat within local authority ownership and control, reflecting their role in public health issues such as the supply of clean water and sanitation. Over a number of decades this has changed. However, as the global threats of climate change and energy shortages continue to grow, local authorities are increasing looking at the developing prospects of municipal energy.
APSE's bespoke Local Authority Energy Collaboration is a partnership developed by our member authorities which looks to leverage and maximise the opportunities afforded to local authorities by working together on a national scale in the green energy agenda. The Head of APSE Energy is Phil Brennan and for information about APSE Energy Phil may be contacted on [email protected] or telephone 0161 772 1810
