BTG Eddisons is a multi-disciplinary real estate consultancy, part of the wider BTG brand, operating from 35 offices nationally. We work with local authorities, universities, colleges and other public bodies across estates’ full lifecycle, from property valuation through to management, development and disposal.
Our valuations and advisory team provides RICS-certified valuations together with lease and asset advisory, helping public bodies understand asset value and options as service needs and budgets change.
Once requirements and finances have been confirmed, the projects and development service line - architectural design, building consultancy and public sector property solutions – comes in. This is also where our decarbonisation service line sits, led by Nazar Soofi, Head of Sustainability and Decarbonisation: estates management strategies, tailored decarbonisation pathways, and advice on heat network regulation ahead of the early 2027 compliance deadline, alongside financing and energy procurement support.
The management and insurance team keeps public sector portfolios running day to day, with commercial property management, vacant property security through RemoteZone, and insurance brokerage covering the risks that come with holding a mixed estate.
Public bodies looking to dispose of any surplus property, land or assets, can then do so through our agency and auctions offering – property agency, auctions and asset sales.
We are RICS-regulated and ISO 14001 certified, reflecting the environmental standards we apply to our own operations as well as our client advice.
BTG Eddisons is headline sponsor of this year's APSE Annual Seminar, reflecting our focus on energy performance across public sector estates. Our team looks forward to speaking with you in Liverpool.

UNISON is Britain and Europe's biggest public services union with more than 1.3 million members. Our members work in the public sector, for private contractors providing public services, and in essential utilities. They include frontline staff and managers working full or part time in local authorities, colleges, schools, the NHS, the police service, energy industries, transport and the voluntary sector.
UNISON provides negotiating and bargaining support for our 650,000 members who work in local government. This includes people working for local councils, schools, and private companies. Every day of every year local government workers show how indispensable they are to our communities, and we’re there to support them.
Being part of UNISON means you have the full weight of the UK's leading trade union behind you.
As a campaigning organisation, UNISON stands for quality public services, delivered by a well-trained, highly-motivated, decently-rewarded workforce. We believe that cutting back public service spending and putting services in the hands of private companies through privatisation puts all our communities at risk and is not the most effective use of public money.
UNISON is speaking up for public services and for the people who provide them, campaigning at a national, regional and local level to make the case for properly-funded and publicly-provided services. Our branches and members are at the forefront of a whole range of campaigns with this one common theme – to protect the public services that local communities rely on.

NIRA Dynamics is a Swedish technology company and pioneer in virtual sensor software for vehicles. Founded as a spin-off from Linköping University, NIRA develops software that uses existing vehicle sensors to generate new insights about both the vehicle and its surrounding environment. of connected vehicles continuously contributing road data.
At the APSE Highways, Street Lighting and Winter Maintenance Seminar 2026, NIRA will present how connected vehicle data can support road authorities and contractors in monitoring and maintaining road networks more effectively. By analysing the interaction between tires and the road surface, vehicles can act as mobile sensors that continuously measure friction, road conditions, and road roughness as they drive. This data is aggregated and transformed into high-resolution insights covering entire road networks.
NIRA’s infrastructure products—such as Winter Road Insights and Road Health—allow road operators to monitor road conditions in real time, detect hazardous situations such as slipperiness, and identify road damage or degradation early. The data can also be used to evaluate maintenance actions, analyse trends, and support long-term planning of road investments.
Unlike traditional monitoring systems that rely on fixed sensors or periodic inspections, connected vehicle data provides continuous and scalable coverage across large areas without additional roadside hardware.
By turning everyday vehicles into a distributed sensing network, NIRA enables a new, data-driven approach to road maintenance—helping authorities improve safety, optimise winter operations, and make better-informed infrastructure decisions.

Gul-e by ODS is designed to address the anticipated surge in electric vehicle (EV) adoption by offering a practical solution for residents to safely charge their EVs on-street outside their homes using their own domestic power supply. The product is a sleek and simple EV charging cable channel that is permanently encased in the footway. This innovative design securely houses the charging cable, effectively solving the widespread issue of safely charging EVs on-street, for those who do not have access to a driveway.
The development of Gul-e has been driven by the need to address both social and environmental challenges, positioning the product at the forefront of cable channel charging innovation. It offers a convenient, easy-to-use, and cost-effective solution for residents, reducing the reliance on more expensive public charging options.
Gul-e has been meticulously designed and developed in collaboration with a Highways Authority, ensuring that all safety and standard requirements are met. Over several years, every element of Gul-e has undergone independent laboratory testing to guarantee it meets the necessary standards for installation in publicly owned and maintained footpaths.
Intended for permanent installation in outdoor environments, Gul-e is embedded into the pavement to provide convenient and safe sub-surface storage for EV charging cables during use. This design prevents trip hazards for pedestrians that would otherwise be caused by exposed cables.
