Seminar Objectives:

This seminar will blend the experience of conference learning  and workshop –based learning in small groups.

For the first half of the day, delegates will enjoy high-level input and debate exploring commercialism in local government and the use of performance data to transform public services.

For the latter half of the day,  delegates will have the opportunity to chose between three workshops, delivered by the APSE Solutions team, which will explore topics such as demand management, income generation  and ensuring the customer focus.  Workshops will include case studies and refer to good practise and introduce delegates to the application of strategic thinking tools, highly applicable to the climate of public service delivery today.

This seminar will be useful to all who wish to explore the broader themes of commercialism and the effective use of performance information and will equip delegates with new thinking tools, provide an opportunity for deeper learning and small group input in a workshop setting and will be a valuable training day for all involved in re-thinking how we do, what we do.

APSE South/South West Annual General Meeting

Within the lunch hour of this meeting, we will be holding the Annual General  Meeting for the APSE South/South West region.  At this meeting, we will elect the Prospective National Chair and Secretary and the Regional Chair and Secretary as well as other representatives on APSE National Council for the year ahead.  We will take a look at what has happened over the year in the region and at what’s happened within the APSE network, across the UK and gather views on how to take the Association forward in the year ahead.
