An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Sustainable Development Team to lead on the development and delivery of environmental management and climate change policy.
You will work with corporate and external partners, communities and businesses to address key environmental, resource management and climate change issues within the East Riding of Yorkshire.
We are looking for someone who is able to develop, promote and deliver relevant training and awareness raising initiatives to a range of audiences, to foster a greater understanding of environmental sustainability and climate change issues. Good policy development and interpersonal skills together with the ability to deal with difficult/problematic issues in an appropriate and diplomatic manner are also required.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject and have a sound understanding of issues relating to climate change and the sustainable usage of resources, including low carbon technologies, sustainable energy consumption issues and sustainable procurement.
Based at County Hall, Beverley for 37 hours per week with a requirement to travel to meetings inside and outside of East Riding of Yorkshire on occasions.
