Description: Dacorum Borough Council, an award winning waste collection authority for recycling initiatives, is offering an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, creative and environmentally minded individual to work as part of our dynamic Environmental Services Team.

Based at Cupid Green Depot in Hemel Hempstead, the role of the Environmental Projects Lead Officer will be to manage and deliver a programme of campaigns and initiatives to encourage and enable residents to ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’ throughout the borough. You will carry out these tasks with the support of the Environmental Awareness Officer and also work in conjunction with WasteAware, the Hertfordshire Waste Partnership.

You will manage and support ad hoc projects for both Waste Services and Clean, Safe and Green, often with the support of the Recycling Advisor.

Working within a small team, you will be the line manager for both the permanent Environmental Awareness Officer and the contracted Recycling Advisor.

You will possess excellent project management, communicational and behavioural change acumen and the ability to create strategies to support improvements to the performance of the services.

There will be the requirement for occasional evening and weekend work.
