This is an excellent opportunity to join the Governance Team at Wyre Council working as the Council’s Democratic Services Manager.  You will lead a small busy team of Democratic Services Officers who in the main provide administrative support to the council decision making process.

You will play a significant role in leading improvement in the council’s constitutional and decision making processes, providing expert advice and supporting councillors and colleagues, and where necessary challenging the status quo. You will be an innovative thinker and a strong leader, who can work at pace.

The successful applicant will have excellent written and oral communication skills and have considerable committee administration experience. You must also have good interpersonal skills and experience in working in a sensitive political environment and be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines, often under pressure, whilst maintaining good customer relationships.
