APSE Solutions – Market Engagement Event
Underground Refuse Systems and Fill level Sensors

Over the last 2 years, APSE has carried out extensive research into how underground refuse systems (URSs) and technological innovations such as fill level sensors that can assist authorities in improving the efficiency and cost effectiveness of both domestic and commercial waste collection services.

We need to look beyond what we perceive as the obstacles to using and installing these systems both in new and existing build areas and consider the longer term benefits of how they could improve not only the immediate amenity of a given area, but also the effect they can have on the overall cost and efficiency of the service both for the residents, the authority and in new build areas for developers.

Now APSE, the foremost public service networking organisation in the UK, in partnership with City of Edinburgh Council and APSE Approved Partners Contenur, have organised a unique market engagement event for Local Authorities to discuss this innovative collection method, to see these systems in a practical setting and meet with both users and manufacturers to discuss the practical use of these systems.
