APSE Insourcing Seminar 2019

APSE Insourcing Seminar 2019

View the programme here

About the seminar

Insourcing is a growing phenomenon with councils of all political persuasions viewing insourcing as a viable means for service delivery. The need for further information and sharing of best practice on insourcing has been heightened by recent high profile contractor collapses and the threat of more to come.

This highly interactive event will share the findings of the latest research on insourcing and its drivers; being efficiency, greater service integration and de-risking service delivery from poor quality contracted out arrangements. Service quality remains a fundamental reasons why councils are insourcing, alongside greater use of their resources and a need to generate new sources of income through commercialisation.

All delegates will receive a complimentary  copy of APSE’s latest research and will have a chance to find out about the latest developments in this topical area for the public sector. With expert speakers looking at legal issues, public policy and the ‘how to’ practicalities of insourcing this is a not-to-be-missed event for council leaders, cabinet members/councillors  and  chief executives, chief officers and senior managers, alongside trade union representatives.

All delegates will receive as part of their booking all refreshments, including a networking lunch, and a delegate pack including the latest APSE research publication  ‘Rebuilding Capacity: The case for Insourcing Public Contracts’ and access to presentation at the event and post the event on-line.
