APSE Scotland is pleased to announce that our Scottish Commercialisation Competition is now open!
All Scottish local authorities have the opportunity to put forward an A4 outline of a commercial idea they would like to take forward as a Council / department to business case completion.
Councils will have 4 weeks (closing date 31st of October) to provide their outline proposal before the competition is closed and the assessment process commences. Local authorities can enter one or more idea for consideration.
All entries will be assessed by an independent panel, the panel will be looking at the following criteria: -
• How innovative is the idea?
• Could this be scaled up to benefit all 32 local authorities?
• How practical is the idea to implement?
Once the winning idea has been agreed by the independent panel, the successful local authority will be contacted to begin the next steps.
APSE Solutions will provide five days of consultancy to put together a business case for the winning local authority. It should be noted that these five days will be a mixture of two on site and 3 desk-based days. The winning local authority will be required to commit time and resources to aid the consultancy team, this in order for them to receive the maximum value from the consultancy and achieve a completed business case.
Please complete and submit the notification of interest form below and you will then be sent a proposal template for completion.
Please note closing date for proposals to be returned is 31 October 2018 and these should be emailed to Lmcnab@apse.org.uk.
