The COVID-19 pandemic has meant that social media has become an even more important tool for communicating and interacting with communities, stakeholders, and customers. This course has been designed for both those who currently use social media as part of their role and those who are planning to do so.

We would expect those taking this course to be making personal or basic professional use of at least one social media platform and to be aware of the need to communicate with service users or members of the public.
No deep understanding of social media is a pre-requisite but curiosity and a desire to communicate effectively with the public is essential.
This course will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams. To access it, you will need a WiFi connection or mobile data hotspot. Downloading Microsoft Teams to your laptop, desktop or smart device will give a better performance and greater functionality throughout the day. This highly interactive training includes a mixture of presentations, video conferencing, group work, games, quizzes and video.
