Behaviour Change

Behaviour Change - developing ideas to help people do the right thing
We are a not-for-profit organisation with over ten years’ experience in tacking challenging social and environmental behaviours. We work on issues where a positive behaviour change is required, using research insight, behavioural science and creativity to develop and deliver interventions.
For more information and to get in touch please visit www.behaviourchange.org.uk or send us an email
Relevant current examples of our work include:
1. Interventions to tackle gum littering
  • Working with Mars Wrigley, we’ve developed a behavioural approach which can significantly reduce gum litter
  • We’ve tested nine targeted interventions which have been proven to reduce littering by over 60%
  • These are now available free of charge to local authorities, printed and delivered: www.tacklegumlittering.co.uk
2. Hand washing materials to nudge people to do the right thing
  • We all know we need to wash our hands, now more than ever - but behavioural science tells us that people don’t always do the things they know they should
  • We developed these nudges which we’ve proven increase hand washing
  • They’re free to download and use here: www.timetowashyourhands.uk
