Alliance Leisure

Alliance Leisure are the industry leaders in leisure developments and client support for the UK leisure industry.  They are well established to respond to the changing development needs of the public sector, education and leisure trust markets.  The Company’s core business is the provision of facility development and support for local authorities, educational establishments and leisure trusts that want to improve or expand the leisure products and services they offer.


Facility Development Services:

Alliance Leisure’s objectives match those of our partners – to deliver the right scheme at the right price. To date, the Alliance facility development team have carried out over 100 leisure developments and invested over £100m in the UK leisure market.  The facility development product has been created to be totally off-balance sheet and conform to all financial regulations.  Our most recent development on behalf of Lancaster City Council saw the £5m transformation of Salt Ayre Leisure Centre.  You can read about this development here.

Client Support Division:

The Alliance Support Division works with over 250 leisure centres to provide sales, marketing and retention services and training.  Within this division Alliance Impact provides sales teams for when a centre requires a boost in sales or is launching a new activity or facility.   Alliance Digital also provide digital marketing training and products to assist operators with sales, lead generation, customer insight and service excellence. Alongside fixed-cost support packages Alliance also offer an income-share arrangement where payment is not made until pre-agreed financial targets have been met.  This mechanism reduces the risk to the client and removes any upfront fees.

UK Leisure Framework:

The development of public sector leisure facilities has become more efficient and affordable after Denbighshire County Council appointed Alliance Leisure to lead its new UK Leisure Framework

As the Leisure Development Partner of the new Framework, Alliance Leisure facilitates the delivery of design, refurbishment, construction, equipping and development of leisure centres, theatres, play facilities, recreation facilities and sports facilities across the UK public sector and can also provide marketing support.

Funding cuts are forcing many local authorities to divert cash from leisure to maintain essential services leaving much of the UK’s ageing public leisure stock overdue for redevelopment.  The new Framework makes it easier and more cost-effective for public sector leisure providers to scope, develop and deliver physical leisure developments as well as cultural and marketing related services. It follows the successful relationship between Alliance Leisure and Denbighshire County Council during which has seen the development of eight projects over the last four years.
