Waste Compliance Officer - South Cambridgeshire District Council

Job Title:                     Waste Compliance Office

Location:                     Waterbeach

Salary details:             £28,329 – £32,947

Contract Type:            Full time – until September 2022

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Waste Partnership (RECAP) works together to continuously improve waste services across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough by increasing recycling and reducing waste, finding cost effective and environmentally responsible ways to meet the needs of local communities.


In this role you will help to support all RECAP partners with the monitoring, maintenance, analysis, and reporting of operational data derived from the recycling sorting contract at Waterbeach Waste Management Park.  You will undertake inspections and audits of the sorting and sampling process at the materials recycling facility and make recommendations to support management of the contract for the benefit of RECAP partners.

We are looking for a person who has interest/experience in the waste management environment, as well as having an eye to detail and can apply analytical skills looking for data trends. The Compliance Officer will need to be willing to work in both an office environment and an operational materials recycling facility.
