About the Seminar
A healthy approach to place making should have been our shared objective before the advent of COVID-19, but it is even more important now. The global pandemic has both amplified and graphically illustrated the need for real change to ensure health and wellbeing are at the heart of the planning process.
The new APSE/TCPA research, ‘At a crossroads: Building foundations for healthy communities’ explores the role of local councils in making places healthier, including through housing standards.
This bespoke online seminar brings together expert speakers that explore:-
The role of housing in wellbeing
The role that housing can play in the post COVID-19 economic recovery
How offsite construction can increase affordable housing in Scotland.
In addition, there are case study presentations, focusing on homelessness, bringing empty homes back into occupation and how regeneration can create a lasting legacy.
Who should attend?
The seminar will allow delegates to take part in Q&A sessions with our panels of expert speakers either using the online chat function or through audio-video connections.
You will need access to the internet and an audio connection to take part, ideally with a video/webcam. A joining link will be sent after you register to attend with full instructions a few days before the event and we will issue a reminder of the joining link to you before the event takes place.
This event will be held on Microsoft Teams—take a look at our handy guide here
