I am delighted to announce details of the 2020 APSE Street Cleansing Seminar. The seminar is a Must attend event for anyone who has responsibility for street cleansing services.

As well as identifying best practice and innovation, new technologies and the latest service-related software and street furniture will be also be on show, providing the most comprehensive updates for those officers who want to be ahead of the game.

  • APSE will be outlining the latest research data on how local authorities are managing their service
  • Hubbub, one of the UK’s leading environmental charities, will explain the variety of ways in which they have engaged the general public in helping clean our green and blue infrastructures.
  • Helping Hands the seminar sponsor will discuss the importance of community volunteers both financially and practically.
  • Eastleigh Borough Council, APSE Performance Networks Best Performing Service will speak on how we can create and maintain high performing street scene services despite continuing budget cuts.
  • Wirral Borough Council will highlight the successes which can be achieved by more targeted resource delivery linked to engaging and supporting local communities.
  • Solihull Borough Council will explain the Research, development and finally how they have delivered an effective anti-dog fouling strategy.
  • Corby and Kettering Shared Services will talk about how new technologies are improving resource allocation and service efficiency in the war against fly-tipping.
  • APSE Performance Networks will show how important the ability to measure performance and benchmark against other local authorities is in order to increase internal service efficiency.

The aim of the seminar is therefore to provide delegates with the latest information, innovative case studies and opportunities to access new technologies, which together will help equip local authorities for the forthcoming challenges facing their services.

APSE has brought together a wide variety of speakers who will explain to delegates how they have transformed policy into practice to achieve these changes.

The seminar is planned to allow considerable time for debate and questions.
