APSE Annual Service Awards 2013 (Supported by the MJ)

APSE is once again hosting its Annual Service Awards for all local authorities and their public sector partners across the United Kingdom.
The APSE Service Awards, which have been in place for over fourteen years ago, allow local authorities across the UK to demonstrate innovation within service delivery and continuously improve services to local communities.
Interest and recognition in the awards has grown year on year, with over 350 submissions received for the 2012 awards. The local authorities winners and finalists receive publicity, both nationally and locally through the awards, recognising their authority as being exemplary in service delivery from the wider local government family.
Over 500 people attended the 2012 awards ceremony, including Government Ministers and senior local government figures in order to celebrate the very best in public service excellence. Whilst only a short time has passed since the 2012 awards were presented, the success of the awards demands the qualification process for 2013 commences. This timescale will allow Councils and their public partners the maximum amount of time to prepare submissions and supporting evidence.
We are delighted to confirm that due to huge interest in this year’s awards APSE has extended the deadline for notification of submissions for the 2013 awards until the 12th April 2013. This is the same date that final awards submissions are also due so please note if you want to send in your notification that you intend to make a submission to the APSE service awards you will still need to comply with the deadline for entering for your full submission which is the 12th April 2013.
