APSE catering, cleaning and facilities management seminar 2012: Prospering in a new reality
Local Authorities have responded well to the ‘shock treatment’ of a 25% reduction in funding. Combined with a loosening of the ties with school, FM services, catering and cleaning are finding themselves in a rapidly changing environment where value for money and cost have are frequently the main drivers.
In-house providers have little option but to up their game and increase productivity, identify and strip out waste and take advantage of innovation to ensure their service remains competitive.
This seminar brought together speakers from facilities management, catering and cleaning, to chart the future and demonstrate some of the many options available to service providers. Over the 2 days, day 1 concentrated on FM and cleaning, whilst day 2 concentrated on catering allowing delegates to choose the service areas that best suit them.
