This event attracts on average over 300 participants on an annual basis from across Council services in the United Kingdom (700 if you include those who attend on the last day for the APSE service awards). These individuals represent a wide cross-section of Senior Directors, Procurement Managers, Heads of Service, Elected Members etc from front-line Council services such as Housing, Building Maintenance, Catering & Cleaning, Cleansing, Grounds Maintenance, Sports & Leisure, Transport and Roads.

As in previous years, all exhibitors who participate in APSE’s annual national exhibition are cordially invited to attend all evening receptions and events with delegates, and take part in the Annual dinner and APSE service awards on Thursday, 11 September 2008 at the Nottingham Arena. As attendees in previous years will confirm, this provides further opportunity for discussion in an informal environment beyond the normal confines of a daily exhibition and ensures both delegates and exhibitors are given full, equal access to all aspects of the seminar.

Following feedback from both delegates and exhibitors at the 2007 event, APSE is bringing the Environmental services event back to the highly popular Best Western Stoke on Trent Moat House hotel. APSE has taken on board comments in relation to the exhibition layout and will re-vamping the exhibition to allow us to implement these requests for the 2008 event. Potential exhibitors should note that delegates who attend the event have a direct responsibility for the procurement and commissioning of goods and services from across the environmental services division.

In addition to the main conference, APSE will also be hosting its Apprentice of the Year awards for the UK’s finest Young Gardener and Transport/Vehicle Maintenance operative.

Scottish healthy communities seminar

Hilton Dunkeld House, Dunkeld

Following direct feedback from the delegates and exhibitors in 2007, the whole event will be re-locating to the Hilton Dunkeld House hotel. This will enable all refreshment and lunches to be served within the exhibition area, providing dedicated time for delegates to view all of the exhibition stands throughout the duration of the conference. You should note that due to the popularity of the seminar and its informal nature, the number of available stand allocations has been limited to 16.

APSE is once again bringing its highly successful Fleet, Waste & Ground services seminar to Aviemore in May 2009. This event sees the largest Scottish trade exhibition of its kind, with over 115 exhibition stands.

Following feedback from both delegates and exhibitors, APSE will continue with the same format as the 2008 event. This includes a maximum number of 75 external exhibition stands available at the conference (maximum 2 vehicles per stand and 3 stands per company).

Although the 2008 event has just recently taken place APSE already has 3 internal stands & 17 external exhibition stands provisionally booked for 2009.
