Senior Driving Assessment & Training Officer Post Number: 43383
Salary £21519 - £23708 per annum (37 hrs).
Fleet Management, a division of Environmental Services, is seeking to recruit a full time DSA registered Driving Assessment & Training Officer to work within the Fleet Management department as part of our established training section.
A valid PCV&LGV licence (with no more than 3 penalty points) is essential.
This position will be subject to an enhanced CRB.
The main duties of this position are:
- To carry annual driving assessments of the Authorities fleet drivers to Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving (SAFED) standard.
- To carry out Road Traffic Collision & Incident investigations on behalf of the Authority.
- To carry out initial & renewal of Minibus driver assessments to schools and local charities to SAFED standards.
- To organise both PCV & LGV driver training for the Authorities departments as required.
- To carry out tail lift and wheel chair clamping training to the Authorities drivers, schools & charities (full training will be given in this and other specialist areas).
- To be the lynch pin of a small but very effective team and where necessary install any discipline that may be required.
