Team
In-house
APSE maintains an in-house dedicated consultancy team. The Principal and Senior Consultants both deliver direct consultancy and also manage all other consultancy projects, retaining overall responsibility for the projects. This Quality Assurance ensures that the consultant always attains APSE's high standard of consultancy in local government and that the procuring authority always receives the best possible work from us.
APSE has a full time Client Coordination Officer, who is based in the APSE Manchester office. As well as maintaining regular contact with the client, she is available to help you with any queries or issues you may have during the project. We aim to make the project the best it can be for you, and the Client Coordination Officer is a dedicated resource for exactly this purpose.

Associate consultants
APSE also has over 280 consultants available to assist the in-house team, who are all experienced local government practitioners. All associates are fully vetted before working for us, and APSE follows strict quality procedures for monitoring during and after a project. APSE associates work in accordance with APSE key aims and sign up to APSE as an associate through the associate agreement. Approved associates maintain a reciprocal relationship with the APSE secretariat and are placed on the circulation list for any relevant briefing papers, technical up-dates, news articles etc. as identified and collated by APSE staff. APSE provides reasonable access to any research material relevant to project work being undertaken by Associates on behalf of the consultancy. Associates are included in Training/Development opportunities as well as invited to the annual Associate Workshop to discuss policy/development issues, updates on work in progress and future opportunities. There is a standing invitation to advisory groups or other relevant meetings.
