APSE Scotland announces the finalists in the ‘Striving for Excellence Awards 2015’

APSE Scotland has announced the finalists in the ‘Striving for Excellence Awards 2015’. Designed to recognise the successes of local government services in Scotland, these awards celebrate innovation in service design and delivery in the areas of Waste and Recycling Services, Fleet Services and Grounds Maintenance, Parks and Streetscene Services.

Paul O’Brien announcing the finalists said “In challenging times it is an imperative that local councils look to innovation in service delivery. These awards identify those local councils in Scotland that are leading the way in innovative practices and striving to truly deliver excellence in our local public services.”

The awards are kindly sponsored by Zero Waste Scotland and SMA Vehicle Remarketing. Zero Waste Scotland's spokesperson Charlie Devine, Head of Resource Management said: “Zero Waste Scotland is committed to driving continuous improvement in the resource management sector, and local authorities are absolutely essential to this. “We’re therefore delighted to be supporting the Striving for Excellence Awards which recognise and reward best practice in the design and delivery of local services, ultimately helping us to move closer to our goal of a zero waste society in Scotland.”

The winners will be announced at the APSE Scotland Fleet, Waste and Grounds seminar on the 28th May at the Hilton Coylumbridge, Aviemore.
