Research and campaigns


APSE carries out independent research for other organisations as well as researching and writing publications for use by local authorities.

APSE also campaigns on behalf of its membership to highlight issues of concern within local government and has an effective research and lobbying role when key consultations are launched. This includes responding to initiatives and consultations within England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Promoting excellence in public services

APSE (Association for Public Service Excellence) is a not for profit local government body working with over 300 councils throughout the UK. Promoting excellence in public services, APSE is the foremost specialist in local authority frontline services, hosting a network for frontline service providers in areas such as waste and refuse collection, parks and environmental services, cemeteries and crematorium, environmental health, leisure, school meals, cleaning, housing and building maintenance.
